Health and safety have always been a priority at BGV, and now we have taken extra steps to elevate our commitment in an effort to exceed expert recommendations to help control and curb the spread of COVID-19 at our resorts and in our community.

Lighting the Way for the Future of Travel with New UV Technology
BGV has partnered with PURO™ UV Disinfection Lighting to deliver hospital-grade lighting technology capable of killing 99.9% of bacteria and viruses through UV lighting—giving our staff the ability to disinfect a space of any size including residences and public spaces. Efficacy Study
Breckenridge Grand Vacations will use PURO™ UV Disinfection Lighting technology in its cleaning process to disinfect its guest rooms, common spaces, employee offices and break rooms. PURO, recently contracted by the New York City Metro Transit Authority to disinfect their transit system, has conducted third-party testing to prove the system’s efficacy against bacteria and classes 1-3 viruses, including COVID-19. The tests show a 99% effectiveness against bacteria and viruses including: norovirus, salmonella, e. coli and MRSA. The most recent test includes COVID-19 among the list of destroyed pathogens due to their UV Light Disinfection process.

While we are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all our guests, owners and employees, we can’t do it alone. All owners, guests, employees and vendors are required to agree to a health and safety promise—a mutual agreement to abide by the steps required to keep us all safe, so that we can continue enjoying the unforgettable Breckenridge experiences that draw us here in the first place.
A Focus on Social Distancing
As weather permits, we are pleased to offer the option of curbside check-in. Our staff greet owners and guests, and provide directions that follow expert recommendations to minimize in-person contact. Bell staff offer the option to have luggage UV sanitized upon arrival. Signage and safety protocols are posted in all public spaces, and furniture has been re-arranged to maximize social distancing. Protective barriers have been installed at the Concierge and Front Desk locations, and all staff wear masks.
Residences
Each residence is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, and sealed with a BGV Shines Certified Clean seal. Housekeeping does not enter occupied residences, they will gladly deliver any requested items in sealed bags to residence doors during each stay.
Public Spaces
High touchpoints, such as door handles, in our public spaces are cleaned and sanitized once per hour. In addition, all amenities, restrooms, elevators and other public spaces are cleaned on a more frequent basis and are also sanitized at least once a day. Enhanced cleaning products and protocols have been put in place in all areas of the resorts, which meet or exceed EPA guidelines.
