Sustainability Partnerships

The Grand Colorado on Peak 8 works closely with Xcel Energy and other utility companies to track our usage and make sure all buildings are as efficient as possible. We were awarded Highest Energy Savings – Business Solutions Center by Xcel Energy, recognizing us for our efforts in reducing CO₂ productions by 822 tons and energy savings of 1,446,575 kWh in 2018.

B Like Breckenridge is a movement born in the spirit of our historic mountain town by the Town of Breckenridge. According to the Town of Breckenridge, its cause is “one that reminds us to act with intention. To be thoughtful in how we interact with nature, wildlife and one another. And to do our part daily, however big or small, to preserve and protect our communities, our natural environment, and our world.

The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) and Leave No Trace founded the Care for Colorado Coalition in 2020. Now an alliance of more than 100 statewide organizations, state/federal agencies and businesses, the coalition is dedicated to educating Coloradans and visitors on how to protect the state’s extraordinary natural and cultural resources by utilizing the Care for Colorado Leave No Trace Principles
